Samsung has opened limited-time preorder offers for its latest foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. The promotions are available through Samsung’s U.S. website and Shop Samsung app, with the current preorder period scheduled to run through August 7, 2026, while supplies last.
Buyers considering the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra or standard Z Fold8 can receive up to $1,200 in instant trade-in credit. Customers who do not trade in a device can instead receive a $200 Samsung credit toward eligible add-ons. The credit cannot reduce the price of the phone itself; it must be used during the same preorder transaction on qualifying products such as Galaxy Buds, watches, tablets, accessories or Samsung Care+.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 offer includes up to $600 in trade-in credit or a $150 promotional credit without a trade-in. Samsung is also offering up to $250 in trade-in credit on the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, or as much as $100 in Samsung credit without a trade-in.
The headline trade-in value should not be treated as guaranteed. The final credit depends on the eligible device, its model and its condition. Buyers should compare Samsung’s offer against the amount they could receive through a carrier, independent resale platform or private sale.
The non-trade-in credit is most valuable for shoppers who already intend to purchase accessories. Any unused portion may be lost, and returning or cancelling the qualifying phone can cause the promotional credit to be forfeited.
Foldable phones also require careful consideration beyond the discount. Buyers should evaluate durability, repair costs, device thickness, battery needs and whether they genuinely benefit from a larger folding display. A strong preorder offer reduces the upfront cost, but it does not automatically make a premium foldable the best option for every user.
